There are two major types of moves as far as distance goes: local moves and long distance moves. A local move is when a person moves to a different location within the same province. Moving companies lack standardization in both their services and their prices, so it's important to call around. For example, one company may charge a flat rate while another charges by the person and hour. Prepare a detailed list of the items that need to be moved. It's critical that you provide the moving company with an accurate list of items to be moved. One of the biggest challenges moving companies face is when customers forget to include items the movers have to handle.
